Lazy in Lockdown?

As most of you will be aware, The Most High is afflicting the nations with the Coronavirus. Whether it be self isolation to public distancing to working from home a lot of things are currently in place that are somewhat out of the norm. So how should this affect our walk with the Most High and the works we put in to uplift our nation.

Matthew 6:33-34 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

We cannot lose focus on the end goal; attaining to righteousness and putting in our brick to bring forth the kingdom must remain the priority regardless of this pandemic. The scripture alludes that there is going to be some evil/trial every day...so we must take a step back and simply discern that the thing the Lord has put before us to try us right now is the coronavirus.

Phlippians 4:11-13 - Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Coronavirus should give us no cause to complain. It should be marvelous for us to behold what the Lord is doing in the earth as it is for our benefit(Read Romans 8:28). We need to be content with the situations that have been put before us as the Lord has shown mercy on us...do you still eat and drink? Do you still have a home? Do you have clothes on your back? Do you still have the understanding of the truth? If yes...really ask yourself what the problem is.

This virus has given most of us more spare time and we should be using this time to strengthen ourselves. Thus the scripture above should be manifesting, what more are we doing for God as we have been given this time to be stronger.

Luke 17:20-21 - And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The time for action is now, we will reap what we sow. If we sit at home and feel sorry for ourselves, what will we bring forth? What results will we see?...Thus now is the time to look within yourself and act upon the talents that God gave you to usher in his kingdom.

Proverbs 22:13 - The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.

The Lion in this scripture represents a problem or fear and the slothful man’s reaction to this problem/fear is to stay indoors and do nothing. We must cast away this fear and remain active. Think on what you can do to manevre around the lion.

Sirach 33:27-28 - Send him to labour, that he be not idle; for idleness teacheth much evil. Set him to work, as is fit for him: if he be not obedient, put on more heavy fetters.

If we are idle to do good, we will occupy our time and minds with evil. We often do this because we are bored and have no plan of action; this is why studying the scriptures, communicating, being joyful and having vision are very important for us to implement to keep us away from evil temptations. The scripture also lets us know that more pressure is put on an disobedient and idle servant to spark them to labour. Consider if Covid-19 is the fetters/chains that the Lord has put on you to shift you into action. Were you idle in the Lord’s vineyard before the outbreak? Again, examine yourself and ensure you are being fervent now.

Jeremiah 29:5-6 - Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

The scripture above was a command delivered by Jeremiah to the Israelites that were in captivity in Babylon. They had less liberty in Babylon than in their own land of course yet the Lord wanted them to increase and not diminish and digress. What we must understand is that The Most High wants us to continue to progress even though the various lockdowns and restrictions have been placed on us due the virus.

So in closing, We hope this edition of the blog was edifying and that we all examine ourselves whether we are making the best use of the situations we are in.

Shalom

This is excellent information for our people, we should understand that the most high wants us to continue to live our lives, and procreate as a people.

This article is beautiful, this is my first time reading one I wasn’t aware that there was a blog until now, I appreciate the fact that you guys take the time to do this, it’s a great reminder to stay focused and continue to reform our minds and stay in the spirit. Especially when it comes to God’s work and continuing to do what we are able to contribute to our Nation building.
